How Frequency Healing Works

— How It Works —

The body
listens to rhythm.

A grounded guide to what tuning forks actually do — without the new-age theatre or the medical overclaim.

A tuning fork, when struck, vibrates at a precise frequency. The nervous system synchronizes to predictable rhythm the way it does to slow, deep breathing.

This is the same mechanism behind why music can lower heart rate, why slow chants reduce blood pressure in clinical studies, and why ASMR videos work. The body is a rhythm engine. Give it a predictable input, and it will entrain.

— Entrainment —

What the body recognizes.

When you are anxious, brain activity tends to be scattered and fast. Steady, low frequencies guide it toward calmer patterns. The vagus nerve, which runs from the brainstem through the chest, responds particularly well to the 128 Hz range.

Within thirty seconds, the parasympathetic response begins.

— The frequency map —

Nine frequencies. Nine uses.

128 Hz The most-used body frequency. Low, grounded. Placed directly on the body for muscle and breath response.
136.1 Hz The OM tone. Matches the Schumann resonance of the Earth's atmosphere. Used to open or close practice.
396 Hz Root chakra. Solfeggio scale. Used for grounding and release of fear.
417 Hz Sacral. Transitions and flow.
432 Hz The “natural” musical reference pitch. Used to tune the breath at the start of practice.
528 Hz The Miracle Tone. Center of the Solfeggio scale. Used at the heart for clarity and centering.
639 · 741 · 852 · 963 Hz Heart, throat, third eye, crown. Used in sequence in a full chakra sound bath.
— Placement —

Where the fork sits.

For body frequencies (128, 136.1 Hz), place the smooth base lightly on tense tissue: sternum, sacrum, base of skull, soft of the shoulder. The vibration travels into bone and muscle.

For mind frequencies (432, 528 Hz, upper chakras), hold the resonating fork 6 to 12 inches from each ear. The body listens. The breath follows.

— The ritual —

Four steps. Seven minutes.

Strike.

Tap the prongs against the silicone mallet. Never against hard surfaces — that damages the tone over time.

Place.

Body frequencies: the smooth base on tense tissue. Mind frequencies: the resonating prongs close to each ear.

Breathe.

The vibration fades over twenty-two seconds. Inhale on the strike. Exhale through the decay.

Repeat.

Five to seven minutes is the sweet spot. Longer is fine. Shorter still works. Consistency beats duration.

My nervous system has changed. The full chakra ritual every morning. It is the only practice I have ever stuck with.
